Career Coaching
Individualized coaching is available to discuss your specific career development and job search needs, including resumes, cover letters, interviewing, networking, salary negotiations and job search techniques.
Executive Networking Events
Evening executive events are offered three times a year covering a range of topics including “Starting A Business: Lessons learned from UW Business School Alumni” and “Conflict Management – Executive Style.” This is an opportunity to meet other executive students and stay competitive in planning your career strategy.
Career Services Workshops
A variety of workshops are offered throughout the year. Topics include: Resume Tune-Up, Interviewing Skills, and Negotiating Your Worth.
Library Resources
Located in the Bank of America Executive Education Center, this is your center for career research. Make sure to visit Hoover’s Online, the leading provider of company and industry profiles, available on the library’s Web site along with trade journals and ejournals to help in your research. http://www.lib.washington.edu/business/
Candidate Database
The candidate database stores pertinent contact and career information from current students/alumni searching for new positions. This information can then be shared with potential employers who are searching for qualified candidates and specifically contact the TMMBA program.
Spring and Fall MBA Forums
These forums offer students the opportunity to make key contacts in a wide variety of local and national companies. Learn about company culture, submit your resume, and network with recruiters and hiring managers.
eRecruiting
An online system for managing your career search, finding company contacts and submitting your resume for specific jobs.
Job Search Teams
Small teams who meet regularly to offer support and assistance to one another in job search.
Industry and Job Function Panels
These panels are structured around a particular job function or industry that is of interest to students. The panels are often made up of TMMBA alumni. One of the benefits of the sessions is to provide an opportunity for students to explore possible career paths as they go through the program. Another benefit is that they enable current students and alumni to meet and network with one another.
