Spring Quarter Elective Bidding Results
The results of bidding for Spring quarter ("regular") elective classes were sent out Thursday, February 19. Please read the bid results email for the information you need to get registered for Spring quarter electives.
For students who were eligible to bid for elective classes, wait/class lists open today, Monday, February 23. You can send an email to mbaregis@u.washington.edu to change your schedule, to request available spaces in classes or to be added to wait lists.
For students who were not eligible to bid on electives (1st-Year Full-time and Evening MBAs), if you are interested in taking an elective on a space-available basis, you may request spaces(s) beginning on Sunday, March 1 by sending an email to mbaregis@u.washington.edu.
If you have questions about the registration process or would like to have your remaining degree requirements checked, please email mbaregis@u.washington.edu.
Advanced Core Options Bid Results
The results of bidding for Advanced Core Options classes for first-year Full-time and second-year Evening MBAs were also distributed on Thursday, February 19. Please read the bid results email for the information you need to get registered for Spring quarter Advanced Core Options.

Global Business Forum courses (BA 545) for Spring Quarter
Spring quarter Global Business Forums will be focusing on the following world regions: BA 545 A/B - Brazil & the America's, BA 545 C/D - India & South Asia
If you wish to enroll in this course, please request a class space by emailing mbaregis@u.washington.edu. In your email, indicate which MBA Program you are in and what BA 545 section you want to enroll in. Add codes for the class are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
First-Year Full-time MBAs: Spring Section Assignments/ Schedule Registraton
The spring quarter section assignments and core schedule are available online now. First-year full-time students should register for their assigned spring core sections using the information available on the Core Course Registration instruction page. In addition to registering for BA 502, students should also register for MGMT 510, “Developing Leadership Skills” course (Judi Kalitzki’s course on which you have been working all year) using SLN 15182.
Planning to graduate Winter Quarter?
If you wish to graduate at the end of winter quarter but have not yet filed your online graduation application, you must do so by March 8. You will also have to pay a late graduation filing fee of $250.
MBA Graduation Ceremony 2009
The graduation ceremony for full-time and evening MBA students is scheduled for Saturday, June 13, 2009 at 7:00pm. For those of you who will be graduating in winter or spring quarter 2009, please become familiar with the graduation information on the MBA website. This webpage supplies details regarding applying for graduation, the graduation ceremony, academic attire, graduation tickets, and diplomas. Note for International students: If you have family members who wish to attend the graduation ceremony and need letters to support their visa application, please contact Linda Bruen.

Puget Sound Business Journal (PSBJ) Women of Influence Scholarships
PBSJ, in conjunction with Lytle Enterprises and The Seattle Foundation, offers a wonderful opportunity for female students pursuing a graduate level degree in Washington. The student selected each year not only receives the financial contribution ($5,000) but also mentoring from members of the prestigious Women of Influence advisory board. 2009 Bullitt Environmental Fellowship Call for Applications
The Bullitt Environmental Fellowship is a two-year, $50,000/year fellowship for graduate students interested in pursuing leadership positions within the environmental field. UWRA Graduate Student Fellowship
The UW Retirement Association (UWRA) Graduate Student Fellowship is a 9-month fellowship to support graduate students of outstanding academic merit who have a demonstrated interest in aging-related issues or concerns. Scholarships Available: Deadline March 6
The Government Finance Officers Association has several scholarships available that will be awarded to students for the 2009-2010 academic year. These scholarships will be awarded to students who are interested in accounting and finance careers in state and local government, and the applications deadline for all three of these scholarships is March 6, 2009. Flyers relating to these scholarships are available in the MBA Office. The three scholarships are:

Frank L. Greathouse Government Accounting Scholarship: $5,000 scholarship for a student specializing in accounting in state or local government, who is a citizen or permanent resident of the US or Canada.

Daniel B. Goldberg Scholarship: $10,000 scholarship for a graduate student in a full-time masters program preparing for a career in state or local government finance who will be enrolled during spring 2009. Must be a citizen or permanent resident of the US or Canada.

Minorities in Government Finance Scholarship: $5,000 scholarship for a student in public administration or business, with a specific focus on government or nonprofit management, who plans to enter a career in state or local government finance. Must belong to specified minority groups and be a citizen or permanent resident of the US or Canada.
