ACADEMIC ANNOUNCEMENTS

Summer Quarter 2008 Registration

  • Evening Class of 2010: You will be enrolled in MGMT 500 starting April 30. If you do not plan to take this class, please let us know by emailing mbacore by April 29.
  • MBA Summer Elective Classes: Please see the Summer 2008 Elective Course Schedule for more information. If you are interested in registering for summer classes, mail mbaregis to request information.
  • NON-MBA Elective Classes: If you are looking for additional course options this summer, you can access the full UW Time Schedule for Summer for possibilities. Keep in mind, you need to get these approved by submitting a non-MBA Course Request Form.

Autumn Quarter 2008 Elective Bidding Opens Tomorrow
Bidding for autumn quarter elective classes begins Wednesday morning (April 23) at 8:00am. Bidding closes on Wednesday, April 30 at midnight. All 1st-Year and continuing 2nd-Year Full-time, and 2nd-Year and continuing 3rd-Year Evening MBAs are eligible to bid for elective classes for autumn.

Full-Time Class of 2009: Core class BECON 501 will be offered Autumn and Winter quarters
There will be one section of the core class BECON 501 offered Autumn quarter and two sections Winter quarter. If you would prefer to take this class in Autumn quarter, remember to include it as part of your bidding process.

Full-time Class of 2009: Final Elective Registration Brown Bag this week!

"Toxic Trade: The Case of Electronic Waste and the Basel Convention" with
Jim Puckett (Basel Action Network). Mr. Puckett will explore the issue of
toxic trade through the lens of electronic waste trade and he will provide
the context, history, evolution and relevance of the Basel Convention -- one
of the world's landmark multilateral environmental agreements.
