Undergraduate Entrepreneurship Option

The Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE) offers an undergraduate option, open to undergraduates admitted to the UW Foster School of Business. Students must apply to the Foster School through the Undergraduate Programs Office. Applications to options are accepted twice a year: October 5 for winter quarter admission and April 5 for fall quarter admission.

Entrepreneurship option coursework guides students through the natural sequence of building a successful new venture. Core courses teach fundamentals as they apply in fast-growth environments.

Participation in the annual Business Plan Competition can augment coursework. This is a hands-on, learning-intensive exercise which allows students to work collaboratively developing a new venture and presenting it to investors. Winning teams will earn seed funding for their new venture.
