NIBEN Annual Workshop

The annual NIBEN workshop is held each fall, and has attracted approximately 50 participants each year. Past workshops have focused on such topics as:

• International business teaching techniques and materials
• The Internet and international business
• Overseas study tours
• Foreign language and study abroad programs for business students
• Working with business and government on export promotion
• New international business degree programs in the Northwest
• Industry focus: the internationalization of retailing
• The emergence of India as a global player
• The future of international business education in the Pacific Northwest
• International business issues: Japanese investment in the U.S.
• Developments in Eastern Europe and the Soviet Union: implications for business schools
• Teaching cross-cultural management
• Student projects with international companies
• Teaching international business negotiations
